Job summary

Hendry Regional Medical Center in Clewiston, FL, is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to provide specialized care across hospital departments under medical direction. The role requires Florida licensure as RRT or CRT and current BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as RRT preferred or CRT required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; NRP, PALS, STABLE certifications preferred.
• Experience in Critical/Emergency Care preferred.
• Strong customer service and ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment required.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and MS Office preferred.

• Support Cardiopulmonary Services under supervision of the Director.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and ensure compliance with policies.

SUPERVISORS : Director of Cardiopulmonary, Compliance/Safety Officer, Medical Director

SUPERVISES : None

WAGE & HOUR DESCRIPTION : Non-Exempt

POSITION PURPOSE

This position provides specialized respiratory care to patients in all areas of the hospital in support of comprehensive medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and established regulations, policies and procedures. Employees work under medical direction of a provider and/ or Director of Cardiopulmonary Services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Current State of Florida License as a Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred or Certified Respiratory Therapist required.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification required. NRP, PALS, and STABLE certifications preferred.
• Previous Respiratory Therapist experience preferred in the disciplines of Critical / Emergency Care.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to multi-task while working in a high volume work environment required.
• Able to work effectively with team members, supervisors, patients and their families to accomplish team goals.
• Ability to plan, organize and perform job associated tasks to completion. Willing to adjust personal schedule to accommodate patient needs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computers and proficiency in the use of an electronic health record system required, CPSl/Evident preferred. Knowledge of web based programs and Microsoft Office suite of products including Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.
