Job summary

Smart Staffing Group is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for an acute care setting in New York. The candidate must hold an A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy, possess NYS license/registration, and have 2 years of post-degree clinical acute care experience.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, and successful candidates will pass pre-employment health clearance. The role involves administering therapies, monitoring ventilation and oxygen, and assisting physicians in care

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy to patients.
• Institute and monitor oxygen therapy.
• Assist physicians with continuous ventilation.
• Administer cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
• Perform pulmonary function tests.
• Perform radial arterial punctures.
• Provide majority of patient care in acute care with minimal orientation and supervision.
