Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking a Respirator Fit Tester to join the Respiratory Protection Program. The role conducts qualitative and quantitative fit tests to ensure proper respirator seals, following OSHA guidelines, and maintains meticulous records for compliance.

Responsibilities include training workers on proper respirator use, selecting appropriate respirators, and promoting a culture of safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Preferred 1–2 years fit testing experience.
• Preferred 1–2 years OSHA compliance/respirator fit testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualitative and quantitative fit tests per OSHA guidelines to evaluate respirator seals.
• Instruct workers on proper respirator use, maintenance, and storage.
• Keep accurate records of all fit test results and documentation for compliance.
• Ensure workers are assigned correct respirator type, model, size; assist in selecting alternatives if tests fail.
• Promote safety culture and emphasize importance of proper respirator fit for well-being.
• Help ensure regulatory compliance for respirator use and safety standards.
