Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital seeks a Respiratory Equipment Technician to handle equipment setup, reprocessing, cleaning and local supply management under the supervision of a respiratory therapist.

This role ensures therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory/pulmonary equipment are allocated and available throughout the hospital, with duties including cleaning, setup of ventilators and HFNC/Bipaps, and reporting equipment issues.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Ability to follow infection control policies and standards.
• Supports respiratory therapists with equipment and supply needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the general cleanliness and neatness of RT supply areas.
• Cleans and processes respiratory equipment for multi-patient use per infection control policies.
• Assists therapists with equipment and supply needs.
• Sets up ventilators and performs pre-operative checks.
• Sets up respiratory equipment (HFNC, Bipaps, etc.) as instructed.
• Reports defective equipment to HTM department.
• Other duties as assigned.
