Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Respiratory Clinical Coordinator for the Evening shift. The role requires a licensed Respiratory Therapist responsible for direct patient care as well as coordinating staff assignments, workload, and throughput to maintain high standards of care.

Qualified candidates will have 3 years of experience, an RRT credential, BLS, and may hold ACCS/NPS/RPFT credentials; NICU experience or NRP eligibility is preferred if NICU is present.

Qualifications

• 3 Years of Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or Currently Enrolled in a Program and Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) and/orNeonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) and/or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - only for hospitals with NICU

Responsibilities

• In addition to providing direct patient care, is accountable for facilitating staff assignments, coordination and monitoring of workload and is accountable for ensuring the staff orientation and skills and delivery of quality patient care and patient throughput during the assigned shift.
• Able to monitor quality/safety metrics
• Provide unit-based education
• Give input on Performance Evaluations
• Additional responsibilities assigned by manager

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
