Job summary

Asante is seeking a Respiratory Care Tech I for the 1st shift in Medford, Oregon. The role supports care in critical care, general medicine, and the emergency department under the Respiratory Therapist. Candidates with no experience are welcome, with BLS required on start and EMT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• EMT certification required or from Oregon DHS/NREMT.
• CMOT and PHTLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Respiratory Therapist and care team in CCU, general medicine and ED.
• Support department operations and promote Respiratory Care Services.
• Contribute to patient care under supervision and maintain patient safety.

Education

BLS: Basic Life Support

EMT: EMT certified by Oregon DHS or NREMT

CMOT: Certified Monitor Technician

PHTLS: Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support

SalaryRange:$23.28 - $32.02

Differentials:

• $1.33 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• $2.25 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
• $1.16extra for working weekends

Position Summary

The Respiratory Care Tech 1helps provide care to patients in critical care areas, general medicine, and emergency department under the direction of the Respiratory Therapist (RT), and in conjunction with the Mid-Level and Provider. They work as a team member and help promote the functioning of the Respiratory Care Services Department with an emphasis on Critical Care patients.

Position Qualifications

Experience

• No experience is required

Certification/Licensure

• BLS: Basic Life Support is required upon start
• EMT: Emergency Medical Technician certified by Oregon Department of Human Services or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians is required
• CMOT: Certified Monitor Technician is preferred
• PHTLS: Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support is preferred
