Job summary

Providence Centralia Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist under supervision to provide patient care in accordance with physicians' orders and hospital protocols.

Responsibilities include assessing respiratory status, recommending and implementing therapies, evaluating patient response, and communicating the plan of care with the health care team. Washington licensure and BLS certification are required at hire, ACLS/PALS preferred.

Job description

Under supervision the Respiratory Therapist provides services to patients at Providence Centralia Hospital as prescribed by physicians in conjunction with established policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines. Responsible for the assessing the patient's respiratory status and recommending appropriate therapies. Implements therapies and evaluates patient response to therapeutic interventions. The Respiratory Therapist accepts and promotes professional development as an integral part of practice. Assesses, analyzes, customizes, coordinates and communicates the patient's plan of care and actively collaborate with other members of the health care team.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's DegreeinRespiratory Careor equivalent education/experience.
• Upon hire: Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.

• 1 yearclinical experience as Respiratory Therapist.
