Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of South Point is opening a new inpatient rehab unit. We seek a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform routine therapy, diagnostics, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for our diverse patient population.

The role requires state licensure, BLS and ACLS, and may involve blood gas work. Candidates with inpatient hospital experience and willingness to learn are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
• High school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients.
• Maintains all respiratory equipment in working order.
• Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order. Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care. Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada. For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
• Experience: Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.
