Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform the full scope of practice, including diagnostic testing, patient assessment, and therapeutic interventions, while collaborating with the medical team to ensure quality care.

This PRN-night position emphasizes patient education, discharge planning, and participation in performance improvement, continuing education, and department growth.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy of Pediatrics

Job Description

Performs all aspects of the scope of practice of a respiratory therapist and where applicable cardiopulmonary scope of practice. Scope of practice includes but is not limited to diagnostic and metabolic testing patient assessment treatment planning and therapeutic interventions analysis and reporting of clinical response. Therapists work in collaboration with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to support efficient cost effective and quality patient and family care as well as providing patient and family education and discharge planning. The position supports system facility and department growth and quality through participation in performance improvement activities continuing education and professional growth and development activities along with other duties as assigned.

Salary based on work commitment level:

PRN: 3 shifts or less within a 6 week period, No commitment for weekends or holidays.
PRN Plus: minimum 3 shifts within a 6 week period, and 1 minor holiday
PRN Extra: minimum 6 shifts within a 6 week period, 2 weekend shifts within 6 weeks, 2 minor holidays or 1 major holiday.
RRT required within one year of hire.
