SSM Health DePaul Hospital - St. Louis is seeking a Lead Respiratory Therapist to oversee respiratory care services, assess patients, develop and monitor treatment plans, and mentor staff.

This full-time night-shift role involves a 36-hour workweek with a rotating schedule and sign-on bonus eligibility. Missouri license requirements apply; BLS, NBRC, and state credentialing are required.

• May perform the duties of a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Must be able to provide initial assistance for those needing emergency intervention.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Lead Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing respiratory care services to our patients which will include assessing patients' respiratory conditions, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring their progress. You will lead your teammates and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Licensure is required for this position.

• Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift, 36-hours a week in 3, 12-hour shifts - rotating weekends/holidays

Job Summary:

Leads assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in respiratory care.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

EXPERIENCE

• Two years' experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.

• Constant standing and walking.

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

• Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry.

• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

• Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.

• Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

• Occasional lifting/moving of patients.

• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

• Occasional driving.

• Rare crawling and running.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
