Job summary

Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lees Summit, MO seeks a part-time Respiratory Care Practitioner I to provide clinical care under supervision, performing the scope of practice for respiratory therapy. You will collaborate with physicians and the health care team to assess patients, plan treatments, and deliver therapies with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy required; RRT credential desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full scope of respiratory care and cardiopulmonary procedures.
• Collaborate with medical staff to assess patients and plan treatments.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Support performance improvement and continuing education activities.

Scope of practice includes but is not limited to diagnostic and metabolic testing patient assessment treatment planning and therapeutic interventions analysis and reporting of clinical response. Therapists work in collaboration with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to support efficient cost effective and quality patient and family care as well as providing patient and family education and discharge planning.
