Performs all forms of respiratory therapy, interprets physician orders, individualizes patient treatment, and educates patients. Manages ventilators, conducts bedside lab testing, and responds to emergency situations. Ensures accurate documentation, maintains equipment, and collaborates with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Requires an Associate's Degree or Respiratory Therapy Certificate from an accredited program, valid RCP license, and NBRC CRT credential. Must have Basic Life Support certification and obtain advanced certifications such as ACLS, NRP, and PALS within specified timeframes.

Skills & Experience

At least one year of respiratory therapy experience, strong communication, computer literacy, and the ability to respond effectively in stressful situations. Demonstrates professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
