Responsibilities

• Assembles and checks respiratory equipment for proper function.
• Conducts therapeutic procedures to maintain airway and remove secretions.
• Evaluates prescribed respiratory care plan and assists in plan modification.
• Documents care and notifies relevant personnel of changes in patient condition.
• Performs pulmonary function tests, spirometry, nebulizer treatments, and oxygen therapy.
• Serves as a resource for complex respiratory care cases and procedures.

Hours vary Pay based on experience starting at $30.56**Responsibilities**Assembles, checks for proper function, identifies malfunctions of equipment, and takes action to correct malfunctions of equipment., Conducts therapeutic procedures to achieve maintenance of patient airway, including the care of artificial airways and to achieve removal of bronchial pulmonary secretions., Determines the appropriateness of prescribed respiratory care plan, recommends modifications where indicated, and participates in development of respiratory care plan., Documents completely and thoroughly. Assures that documentation reflects changes in patient condition and notification to appropriate individual has occurred., Evaluates, monitors and educates patients in the Cardiac Rehab program.
