Job summary

ProMedica Health System's Monroe Regional Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Assistant to support patients with respiratory conditions. You will assemble, operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and assist with clinical instruction.

You will teach patients about disease-specific processes, tobacco cessation and respiratory care services provided. The role is per diem with variable shifts; responsibilities emphasize patient care, safety and collaboration with the Respiratory Care team.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled and in good standing, or a recent graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Preferred membership in professional respiratory care organizations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, operate and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment.
• Assist with clinical instruction for patients and staff.
• Teach patients about disease processes and tobacco cessation and respiratory care services.
