Responsibilities

  • Leadership: provide programmatic leadership and set goals, standards, policies, and educational programs in alignment with the strategic plan.
  • Project management: lead overall direction, coordination, and completion of projects, including budgeting and timelines.
  • Performance management: develop staffing and retention strategies and oversee onboarding and ongoing staff development.
  • Department management: develop and enforce policies to support department operations and interact with client divisions.
  • Operational management: lead initiatives, plan and evaluate services and projects.

Job Responsibilities
  • Leadership - The Clinical Manager will provide programmatic leadership of the clinical component in the assigned areas to ensure quality patient care outcomes. The Manager will develop and implement goals, standards, policies, educational programs, procedures and practices in alignment with the strategic plan. Situations that affect daily operations will be monitored and appropriate actions taken. The Clinical Manager will participate in the development, coaching, motivation and evaluation of department personnel. Consistent communication will occur through facilitation of staff meetings, leadership team meetings and/or staff retreats. Interdisciplinary teamwork will be fostered. The employee's understanding of job requirements will be facilitated. Staff competence will be ensured through appropriate training and development. The Manager will consistently maintain positive relationships among all members of the team.
  • Project Management - Provide leadership for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments and goals. May manage the project budget. Develop project plans resource allocation, and timeline. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. May direct assigned project team ensuring effective utilization of resources. Reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders. Provides detailed organizational communication plans when clinical operations are impacted.
  • Performance Management - Direct the development and monitoring of an effective staffing and retention strategy, including hiring and terminating employees, workforce planning, succession planning; attracting and retaining top performers, partnering with leadership and Human Resources to develop effective and appropriate recruitment packages, and effective on-boarding programs for staff; effective performance management of direct reports; in partnership with leadership, provide mentoring and development to faculty and other leaders in effective performance management; mentor and provide learning and development opportunities for direct reports and others in business roles; effectively and appropriately leveraging human resources business partners to meet the division's talent management goals; ultimate responsibility for supporting organizational programs/plans that impact employees and ensuring communication, comprehension, and adherence to all Human Resources policies and related legal and/or compliance requirements.
  • Department Management - Develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures that guide and support departmental operations and services. Interact with business and operational leaders of client divisions to identify upcoming changes to operations.
  • Operational Management - Provide leadership on initiatives, projects or programs. Collaborate with appropriate parties to plan, implement, and/or evaluate services. May manage personnel related to specific projects.
