Job summary

The Goddard School in Riverton, UT is seeking a motivated and caring Resource Teacher to join our team. You will help implement age-appropriate lesson plans, support children’s development, and maintain a safe, stimulating classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Works productively without supervision
• Basic understanding of child development
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must pass state background checks and meet state education/experience requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist the school in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean learning environment
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging
• Assist in communicating with families about their child's progress and daily activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment
