Job summary

Pasco School District No. 1, Reynolds Middle School in Pasco, WA, seeks an Instructional Paraeducator for the 2026/2027 school year. The role supports students with special needs, follows behavior plans, and assists with instructional activities in a resource room setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bilingual and/or biliterate (Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Must meet one of the following: Associate degree or 72 college credits or passing score on ETS paraeducator assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Use trauma-informed strategies to build safe, supportive relationships and respond to student needs.
  • Collect and document data on academic progress, behavior and IEP goals, with timely communication.
  • Follow behavior intervention plans and CPI strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviors.
  • Deliver teacher-directed instruction and reinforcement in academic, behavioral and social-emotional areas.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group instruction and assist with classroom management.
  • Attend required training hours for paraeducator certification.
