Job summary

Advocate Health IL Float Pool is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN to support multiple hospitals and units across Illinois. This full-time, nights position requires 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience, BLS and ACLS, and a valid RN license.

Self-scheduling with day-to-day floating or 6-week site rotations; 0.9 FTE; travel-not required. Compensation ranges from $38.20 to $57.30 per hour, with shift and weekend premiums and a comprehensive benefits package.

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med/Surg nursing care across multiple sites.
• Engage in self-scheduling with day-to-day floating or 6-week site rotations.
• Deliver care during night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and adapt to unit needs.

• Experience: 2 years Med/surg RN Experience
• Schedule: Self-Scheduled; day-to-day floating or 6-week float assignments
• Certifications Needed: BLS, ACLS

• Shift: Nights 1900-0730 (12-hour Shifts)
• Support Sites: Zone 4: Condell, Good Shepherd, Sherman, Lutheran, Masonic; OR
• Support Sites: Zone 5: Good Samaritan, Christ, Trinity, South Suburban, Masonic

Where You Will Work:

Advocate Health IL Float Pool is a multi‑site resource team supporting Medical Surgical (Med Surg) care across the Illinois division. Float RNs provide adaptable, high‑quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Teammates must be flexible, skilled, and ready to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; and ACLS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience required
