The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry & Fire Protection in Fairbanks is recruiting for a Forester 2/3 to support the Forestry Branch and regional activities. This is an opportunity to advance your forestry career while helping communities develop the Region’s timber markets.

The role focuses on FRPA compliance and reporting, coordinating with DOF area offices in Fairbanks, Delta Junction, Tok, and Glenallen, and traveling by small plane or helicopter as required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Forestry Branch as assigned by the Northern Region Forester and Deputy Director.
• Help communities develop the Region’s timber markets.
• Ensure FRPA compliance and reporting.
• Coordinate with DOF area offices in Fairbanks, Delta Junction, Tok, and Glenallen.
• Travel as needed within the Northern Region.
