Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions is seeking a proactive AMS PA/RC to coordinate vegetation management projects and align PM teams. You will work both remotely and in the field, managing schedules, resources, and communication across multiple departments.

The role requires a degree or equivalent experience, strong analytical and organizational skills, and comfort with MS Office and project tracking tools. A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison between project management and vegetation teams to ensure alignment.
  • Coordinate project schedules, resource planning, staffing, and workload forecasting.
  • Maintain and communicate schedules, priorities, and work plans; resolve conflicts.
  • Manage tracking systems, forecasts, budgets, and reporting to support objectives.
  • Analyze data and metrics to support decision-making and improvements.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, engineering teams, vendors, and contractors for delivery.
  • Organize and maintain project documentation, maps, drawings, and records.

WHAT THE POSITION WILL DO:


  • Serve as the primary liaison between FirstEnergy Capital Project Management and Vegetation Management teams to ensure project alignment and successful execution.


  • Coordinate project schedules, resource planning, staffing needs, and workload forecasting across a diverse portfolio of vegetation management projects.


  • Maintain and communicate project schedules, priorities, and work plans while identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts and project barriers.


  • Manage project tracking systems, financial forecasts, budgets, and reporting to support operational and business objectives.


  • Analyze project data and performance metrics to support decision-making, resource allocation, and continuous program improvement.


  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, engineering teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely project delivery and effective communication.


  • Organize and maintain project documentation, maps, drawings, schedules, and related records to support project planning and execution.


  • Lead regular planning, forecasting, and status meetings with project teams and stakeholders to communicate current activities and upcoming work.


  • Support project estimating, budget planning, and financial management activities for capital and vegetation management initiatives.


  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance resource utilization, and increase overall program efficiency.



Required Qualifications:


  • Associate's degree in Business, Project Management, Forestry, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.


  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, resource planning, scheduling, operations support, or related roles.


  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.


  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.


  • Experience maintaining schedules, tracking project progress, and creating reports for leadership and stakeholders.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and departments.


  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.


  • Experience working with databases, project tracking systems, or work management platforms.


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with creativity for problem-solving and a drive to speak up with ideas and suggestions.


  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify schedule conflicts, project risks, and resource constraints.


  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.



WHAT WOULD BE AMAZING TO HAVE:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Forestry, Environmental Science, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.


  • Experience supporting utility, vegetation management, transmission, distribution, engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.


  • Knowledge of project scheduling and resource planning tools such as Primavera P6, Power BI, Sage, CREWS, or similar systems.


  • Experience with cost forecasting, budget tracking, financial reporting, and project estimating.


  • Familiarity with utility vegetation management practices, electric utility operations, or capital project management.


  • Experience analyzing large datasets and developing performance dashboards and reporting tools.


  • Knowledge of GIS mapping, KMZ files, engineering drawings, and document management processes.


  • Experience facilitating meetings and communicating with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.


  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus



Work Environment

This is a hybrid work-from-home/client office and potential field work, dependent on need. The conditions herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Workfrom an office setting, as well aswith your teamin an outdoor field environment, including though not limited to:vehicle and foot patrol of utility power lines; remote locations as well as urban, city environment; physical demands and travel from site to site, including walking/hiking on various surfaces including flat, dry, wet, slippery, uneven, rough, steep terrain, hills, and slopes; exposure to noise, dust, grease, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions. Physical Requirements

Must have sufficient physical ability and mobility to workin an office setting at a desk, as well asin a field environment; to walk a couple miles per day potentially, stand, sit, and operate a motor vehicle for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, run, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp and make repetitive hand, arm and shoulder movement in the performance of daily duties (e.g., forcefully beat down brush); carry, push and/or pull light to heavy amounts of weight, frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs. (sandbags); to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; ability to verbally communicate to exchange information with public; ability to see and hear in normal range with orwithout correction; operate assigned field equipment, including handheld computer, range finder, and traffic cone.
