Job summary

Grande Shores Resort is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for the cosmetic appearance and mechanical function of resort buildings and grounds, indoors and outdoors. You will handle work orders, follow safety rules, and minimize guest disturbance while ensuring facilities remain safe and well-maintained.

The role requires practical knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, HVAC basics, and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar field.
• Able to work independently.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical skills, preventive maintenance procedures, and understanding of building equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and security policies; report hazards.
• Performs maintenance and repairs with minimal guest disturbance.
• Replacement of light fixtures, fixing drywall/wallpaper, painting.
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of fixtures.
• Working on damaged electrical wiring and other light electrical work.
• Ability to diagnose HVAC matters and resolve simple issues.
• Appliance, furniture, and fixture repairs as needed.
• Completes all work orders in a timely and detailed manner per company standards.
• Execution of scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Maintains all storage areas and work spaces in a clean, safe and secure manner.
