Responsibilities

  • Respond to guest service requests and maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Perform routine inspections of building systems and equipment.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled.
  • Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
  • Communicate issues and repairs to management.
  • Communicate issues and repairs to the Chief Engineer for timely decisions.
  • Assist with upkeep of furniture, fixtures, and equipment throughout the property.
  • Complete sanitation tasks and ensure minimal disruption to guests.
  • Support interior and exterior maintenance for rooms, public areas, and grounds.

Job description

Overview

The Resort Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of the property. This role performs a variety of maintenance tasks across guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior areas to ensure all facilities remain in proper working condition. The position requires a hands‑on approach to repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding to service requests in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:

  • Respond to guest service requests and maintenance concerns reported by the front desk, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication once completed
  • Perform routine inspections of building systems and equipment to confirm safe and efficient operation
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled to minimize equipment downtime and extend the life of property assets
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, refrigeration, and general mechanical components
  • Carry out general repair work such as painting, basic carpentry, and minor renovations as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops, storage areas, and mechanical rooms
  • Communicate ongoing issues, repairs, or unusual findings to the Chief Engineer to support timely decision‑making
  • Assist with upkeep of furniture, fixtures, and equipment throughout the property
  • Perform sanitation‑related tasks such as removing trash and maintaining designated service areas
  • Ensure all work is completed with minimal disruption to guests and daily operations
  • Support both interior and exterior maintenance needs, including guest rooms, public areas, and grounds
  • Complete additional maintenance or operational tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required
  • Prior maintenance experience
  • Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including both indoor and outdoor settings, as well as heat and cold
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete work accurately and efficiently
  • Reliable work habits with a demonstrated sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members, and supervisors
  • Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Commitment to providing a safe environment and supporting a positive guest experience
