Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking Resort Housekeepers to keep resort facilities, buildings and rental properties clean, sanitary, and well-maintained. You will sanitize, stock supplies, and ensure safe, orderly spaces across multiple areas.

Qualified applicants have a GED or high school diploma, some cleaning experience, knowledge of cleaning chemicals, and a valid driver’s license. This full-time role offers great pay, benefits, and growth opportunities within Sun Outdoors.

• 6 months in housekeeping or cleaning large facilities preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work.
• Knowledge of safety measures when using cleaning chemicals.
• Abilities to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products as needed.
• Cleans appliances to remove food particles, mold and mildew.
• Cleans bathrooms, ensures good lighting and safe mats.
• Follows safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or defective equipment.
• Maintains the overall appearance of resort facilities and keeps areas neat.

Resort Housekeepers are responsible for regularly cleaning resort facilities, buildings and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary at all times.

Job Duties

• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks areas with products as needed. Ensures all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold and mildew. Defrosts freezer as needed (Essential)
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and places rubber mats down to ensure safety (Essential)
• Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager (Essential)
• Ensures that the overall appearance of the resort, buildings and facilities are well maintained and orderly
• Ensures all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed
• Ensures that all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly
• Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.
• Ensures all offices and buildings are clean and neat. Empties trash containers as needed
• Ensures all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities (Preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work
• Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals
• Abilities to lift at least 25 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
• Must have a valid driver's license
