Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Resort Housekeeper at Camp Margaritaville Resort in Citra, Florida. This role involves maintaining cleanliness of facilities and properties, ensuring they are sanitary and presentable. Six months of experience in janitorial work is preferred, alongside knowledge of safety when handling cleaning chemicals and basic computer skills. Qualifications

  • 6 months of previous experience cleaning homes or other large facilities is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general janitorial work.
  • Knowledge of safety measures when using various cleaning chemicals.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet.

Responsibilities

  • Make beds according to resort standards and ensure neat, guest-ready presentation.
  • Clean, sanitize, and stock areas with products as needed.
  • Ensure all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly.
  • Clean and sanitize appliances and bathrooms.
  • Follow all established safety procedures and precautions.
  • Report all unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  • Ensure the overall appearance of the resort is well maintained.
  • Ensure floors are cleaned and maintained as required.
  • Empty trash containers as needed.

Job Summary

As our resort housekeeper, you will be responsible for regularly cleaning resort facilities, buildings, and rental properties to ensure the resort remains presentable and sanitary at all times. This position may require flexible scheduling availability.


Responsibilities


  • Make beds according to resort standards, including changing linens, replacing pillows, and ensuring neat, guest-ready presentation.

  • Clean, sanitize, and stock areas with products as needed.

  • Ensure all tables and chairs are clean and functioning properly.

  • Clean and sanitize appliances to ensure they are free of food particles, mold, and mildew.

  • Defrost freezers as needed.

  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, ensuring they are well lit, and place rubber mats down to ensure safety.

  • Follow all established safety procedures and precautions.

  • Report all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to the manager.

  • Ensure that the overall appearance of the resort, buildings, and facilities are well maintained and orderly.

  • Ensure all floors are swept, vacuumed, mopped, waxed, and buffed as needed.

  • Ensure all windows and screens are clean and functioning properly.

  • Maintain washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc.

  • Ensure all offices and buildings are clean and neat.

  • Empty trash containers as needed.

  • Ensure all vents and filters are cleaned and changed as needed.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
