Job summary

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is seeking a Horticulture Assistant to support the Resort Grounds team with landscape and interior plant care. This hands-on role includes planting, pruning, fertilization, pest monitoring, and seasonal projects to maintain lush landscapes and inviting displays.

You will work outdoors, learn horticulture fundamentals, and grow with experienced professionals in a premier Northeast Florida setting.

Qualifications

• Interest in horticulture, plant care, and landscape maintenance.
• Basic understanding of plant materials and growing conditions preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planting and maintenance of annual flower beds, ornamental gardens, shrubs, and landscape displays.
• Care for interior plants and tropical collections throughout the resort.
• Water, fertilize, prune, and maintain plant materials for healthy growth and appearance.
• Monitor plants for signs of disease, pests, and environmental stress.
• Learn pest identification and integrated treatment methods on the job.
• Assist with landscape improvement and beautification projects across the property.
• Operate grounds equipment safely following established procedures.
• Learn proper use and handling of fertilizers and horticultural chemicals.
• Support a safe, clean, welcoming environment for members and guests.
