Job summary

IHM Outdoors is seeking a bartender to set up the bar, mix and serve drinks, and ensure a clean, welcoming bar area. You will greet guests, take orders, and coordinate with restaurant servers. This role involves handling payments and maintaining stock through busy shifts.

Flex scheduling is possible as demand varies; the job includes responsibilities from opening to closing and adherence to all laws governing alcohol service. Training and wellness benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Set up the bar area and maintain cleanliness.
  • Prepare and mix beverages; serve customers.

  • Present menus and serve food to guests at the bar.
  • Stock garnishes and replenish beverages as needed.

Description

As our Bartender, you will be responsible for setting up the bar area, preparing and mixing beverages, serving customers, and maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Requirements
  • Check the identification of guests to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol
  • Operate the cash register and receive payment from customers in cash or credit card, and accurately count and provide change to customers when applicable
  • Monitor the intake of alcohol by guests, prohibiting the sale to those who are intoxicated. Order taxis or other means of transportation for intoxicated patrons
  • Operate in compliance with federal, state, and local law requirements for serving alcohol
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as ordered, in a timely manner, and in compliance with company standards
  • Greet customers and take beverage orders for guests from restaurant servers
  • Perform shift opening and closing duties as directed
  • Present menus, take orders, and serve food to guests seated at the bar
  • Clean, sanitize and maintain the bar area including counters and equipment
  • Prepare garnishes, stock, and replenish beverages and garnishment supply as needed

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. IHM Outdoors is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
