Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Business Continuity and Incident Management (BCIM) Assurance Testing Coordinator in the US to coordinate resilience testing across BCM, Incident Management and Operational Resilience. You will plan, schedule, and track activities, and assemble evidence packs for audit-ready reviews.

You will work with US and Global teams, manage third-party testing evidence, and support governance reporting while maintaining strong documentation and an audit trail.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a coordinator/analyst capacity supporting business continuity, incident management, operational resilience, operational risk, or control/assurance activities in a regulated environment (financial services preferred).
  • Exposure to Operational Resilience testing for Important Business Services (IBSs) and/or scenario testing against impact tolerances.
  • Experience coordinating third-party/supplier resilience testing evidence in partnership with relevant teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate end-to-end activity across multiple stakeholders (planning, scheduling, tracking, follow-up), with strong attention to detail and minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of the BCM lifecycle (BIA, BCP maintenance, exercising/testing, lessons learned and actions management) and what "good evidence" looks like for audit and regulatory review.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear minutes, action logs, evidence summaries and concise MI for governance reporting.
  • Strong organization and documentation management skills (version control, repositories, trackers), with confidence handling high volumes of evidence and maintaining a robust audit trail.
  • Ability to challenge constructively and escalate issues appropriately to the US BCIM Assurance Testing Lead when deliverables, quality, or timelines are at risk.

Responsibilities

  • Support the US BCIM Assurance Testing Lead in coordinating the US BCIM annual testing plan and integrated calendar, including scheduling, stakeholder engagement, logistics, and tracking deliverables to completion across BCM, Incident Management and Operational Resilience testing.
  • Prepare standard materials (briefing packs, agendas, minutes/actions logs, evidence checklists), support selected tabletop/simulation exercises, and ensure evidence packs are complete, organized, and audit-ready in line with internal standards. Escalate material gaps in scope, execution, or documentation to the Lead.
  • Maintain trackers for issues/actions arising from exercises and incidents, coordinate updates with owners, and support closure discipline (including re-test coordination where directed by the Lead).
  • Compile routine management information (e.g., completion status, action ageing, recurring themes) and support governance reporting by maintaining accurate underlying data.
  • Coordinate the annual BIA refresh and BCP review/approval cycle for a defined set of business functions as part of your assigned portfolio, performing pragmatic completeness/quality checks and maintaining an evidence-based audit trail; escalates material gaps and non-compliance to the Lead.
  • Build effective working relationships with Business and Function contacts and coordinate with related resilience capability teams to ensure testing outcomes and lessons learned are appropriately captured and progressed.
