Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking a Post-Residential Coordinator for the Youth Challenge Program (YCP). The role supports at-risk youth finishing GED, with life skills training and structured activities across two campuses, Fort Stewart (Hinesville) and Fort Gordon (Augusta).

The position involves planning mentor training, tracking progress, and ensuring compliance with the program's requirements. A CDL and prior youth program experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field required.
• One year of relevant experience with at-risk youth.
• Two years of experience with at-risk youth, ages 15-19.
• Basic computer software usage skills are required.
• Possession of a valid Georgia CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts mentor training, with individuals and groups.
• Teaches life coping skills including resume writing and job applications.
• Serves as mentor and mentee campus liaison, including passes, correspondence, and monthly reports.
• Inputs pertinent information into the database.
• Implements procedures to satisfy Youth Challenge Cooperative Agreement requirements.
• Promotes and fosters mentor and mentee relationships.
• Participates as a team member and contributes to Cadet Improvement Plans.
• Participates in extracurricular activities as needed.
