Cocoon House in Everett, WA is hiring a Residential Youth Counselor (Swing Shift) to support teens at the Transitional Living Program. This on-site role runs Friday through Tuesday from 3:30pm to 11:30pm, with starting wages of $21/hr plus a multilingual pay differential of $1.50/hr and health benefits.

The position requires strong youth work experience, DCYF clearance, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• 6 months minimum of experience working with youth.
• DCYF background clearance.
• Possess a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive relationships with youth and staff.
• Maintain healthy and safe boundaries with youth.
• Assess emergency situations and provide proper support.
• De-escalate youth in crises using trauma-informed care.
• Supervise youth and ensure safety while upholding program rules.
• Provide meals, transport, and assist with housing tasks.
