Job summary

Mental Health Connecticut, Inc. is seeking a Residential Specialist II for the Danbury area. This part-time role (Tuesday and Wednesday, 4:00 pm - 12:00 am) will document and deliver direct services to adults in recovery, aiming to improve quality of life and community functioning.

The position emphasizes safety, ADL support, and collaboration with therapists and community agencies. A GED/HS diploma and 2 years’ related experience are required; a valid driver’s license is also required to

Qualifications

GED or High School Diploma required.
2 years of related experience and/or degree in related field, license, certification i.e. Recovery Assistant certificate.

Responsibilities

Document all activities, communications, and encounters with individuals in recovery according to service contract and MHC requirements.
Ensure the safety of individuals in their residence through proper supervision of assigned program site including being aware of necessary treatment issues.
Teach and assist Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Act as a liaison with the individuals' therapists, referral sources, and community agencies.
Develop and design content and objectives for educational and wellness-related group discussions and activities. Encourage participation, coordinate schedule, and gather the materials needed for the discussion or activity. Implement and facilitate ongoing group activities and discussions with program participants.
Provide community based or program site coverage when necessary. May be mandated to remain on site or to report beyond scheduled hours to provide essential coverage.
