Job summary

Second Chances Addiction Recovery Center in Rayville, LA is seeking a Residential Technician to support daily residential operations and client supervision. You will work closely with the Residential Tech Manager to maintain a safe, structured environment and document rounds, wellness checks, and incidents.

The role involves assisting with schedules, meals, groups, activities, transportation, and adherence to facility protocols, reporting safety concerns promptly, and helping with crisis

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to clients throughout the shift
• Assist clients with assigned schedules, groups, meals, recreation, medication times and daily activities
• Complete hourly rounds, temperature checks, wellness checks, cabin checks and other assigned safety observations
• Document rounds, client observations, incidents and required information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record before the end of the shift
• Complete clear shift reports and communicate significant client, medical, behavioral, or safety concerns to the oncoming shift and appropriate leadership
• Search newly admitted clients and their belongings, and complete the required personal property inventory documentation
• Transport clients and accompany them on approved appointments, outings, or trips outside the facility
• Supervise client movement and maintain awareness of client locations in accordance with facility procedures
• Assist with crisis intervention, de-escalation, emergency response, and client safety procedures in accordance with CPI training and facility protocols
• Immediately report and document injuries, suspected abuse or neglect, contraband, elopement risks, medication concerns, policy violations, or other incidents
• Restock facility, hygiene, cleaning, and residential supplies as needed
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of client living areas, common areas, kitchens, storage areas and staff spaces
• Assist with linens, laundry, trash removal, cabin organization, and other facility-upkeep duties
• Ensure facility vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for transportation, and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Residential Technician supports the Residential Tech Manager with daily residential operations, client supervision, facility safety, documentation, transportation, and completion of assigned duties. This position works directly with clients throughout the day and helps ensure that the residential environment remains safe, structured, therapeutic, clean, and organized.

The Residential Technician observes and supervises clients while assisting them with their assigned schedules, groups, activities, meals, medication times, transportation, and daily routines.
