Job summary

The Arc of Litchfield County, Inc. (LARC) in Litchfield County, CT is seeking an Assistant House Manager who blends hands-on care with supervision to support individuals with I/DD in a safe, welcoming home.

You will work with the House Manager, mentor staff, participate in hiring and training, and ensure daily operations align with person-centered plans and accurate documentation. This is a full-time leadership role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on direct care and support to individuals served.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and medication administration.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
• Lead and mentor staff; participate in interviewing, hiring, and training.
