Job summary

Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems is seeking a dedicated worker to provide support, personal assistance, training, and quality care to individuals with intellectual disabilities residing in a community group home in Delaware County, PA.

Under supervision, you will assist with daily living activities, transportation, and maintaining safety and dignity. The position includes weekend/evening hours and requires PA clearances; high school diploma is required with no prior experience necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist persons-served in reaching their goals of becoming more independent.
• Act as a positive role model for persons served.
• Provide guidance, instruction, coaching, and support, in accordance with individual plans.
• Engage individuals in beneficial programs and activities.
• Transport and accompany individuals into the community for appointments and outings.
• Directly assist with personal care as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation and routine homemaking duties.
• Assume responsibility for the safety of the person served including medical/medication needs.
• Apply approved behavior plans and intervention strategies as/if needed.
• Complete records and reports; collect data according to Agency policy.
