Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers' Harrington House in Dorchester, MA is seeking a Residential Supervisor to support youth who have experienced trauma and face emotional and behavioral challenges. This role collaborates with the Milieu/Program Director to ensure safe, structured overnight coverage and to maintain our trauma-informed care approach.

You’ll recruit and supervise direct care staff, provide training, handle performance issues, and lead weekly team meetings.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with youth.
  • HS diploma or equivalency; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure staffing coverage by working with the Milieu/Program Director.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate direct care staff.
  • Mediate staff issues and conflicts.
  • Host team meetings and provide training and weekly supervision.

Job description

This position is Thursday-Saturday 11PM-9AM.

The Home for Little Wanderers' Harrington House, located in Dorchester, MA is looking for a Residential Supervisor to make a difference in the lives of youth who have experienced trauma and/or who have significant emotional and behavioral challenges.   • The Residential Supervisor will work closely with the Milieu/Program Director to ensure appropriate staffing coverage; hire, train, supervise, performance manage and evaluate direct care staff; mediate staff issues and employee conflicts; host team meetings for staff and provide training and weekly supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with youth
  • HS diploma or equivalency; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid Driver's License

Driving Requirements

  • May be required to operate a vehicle
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license and a “satisfactory” driving record
  • May be required to have access to a personal vehicle for use during work hours
  • May be required to use personal vehicle to transport clients on occasion if/when needed
  • If required to transport clients, must maintain the minimum amounts of liability insurance as required by The Home and/or other regulatory requirements and vehicle registration must be current

The pay range listed represents the company’s good faith estimate of the salary or wage range for this position at the time of posting, as required under applicable law. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s relevant experience, education, skills, and internal equity relative to other employees in similar roles. Candidates with less directly related experience may be placed toward the lower end of the range, while those with extensive or specialized experience may be placed toward the higher end. Market conditions and budget considerations may also influence final pay decisions.
