Job summary

Harc, Inc. in Greater Hartford, CT seeks a Director of Residential Services to oversee the daily operations of the Residential Supports Program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring person-centered services and regulatory compliance.

You will lead House Managers, manage budgets, supervise staff, coordinate audits, and ensure safe, quality environments while pursuing program growth and community integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Coordinators of Residential Supports, fostering a positive team culture and a focus on high-quality service delivery.
• Ensure full compliance with DDS regulations, state and federal statutes, Harc policies, and best practices, including participation in IP meetings and behavioral and medical oversight.
• Oversee and implement auditing systems, including bi-annual DDS inspections and regular internal management audits to ensure quality and compliance.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary support with staff, family members, guardians, and outside agencies to promote holistic, person-centered care.
• Manage and monitor residential budgets, including the oversight of overtime, staffing ratios, and over-budget hours, ensuring fiscal accountability.
• Oversee the maintenance of all documentation systems, including Therap, time sheets (ADP), incident reports, training records, meeting minutes, and maintenance requests.
• Lead regular team meetings and provide guidance, support, and performance oversight to residential leadership staff.
• Support the onboarding and monitoring of new hires, ensuring proper training and successful completion of probationary periods.
• Maintain a current understanding of all required training and certifications, ensuring staff compliance at all times.
• Provide 24-hour on-call support and respond to emergencies involving the individuals served.
• Collaborate with teams to explore and secure additional resources and funding, including DDS one-time funds and URR processes.
• Ensure that all program environments are clean, safe, and well-maintained, including residential properties and vehicles.
• Lead efforts to identify and pursue new opportunities for individual growth, development, and community integration.
• Step in to provide direct participant support in situations of critical staffing shortage or emergency.Ensure timely submission of required reports, IP documentation, and goal tracking materials.
