Job summary

CABS Heating & Air Conditioning, a family-owned West Sacramento company, is seeking an experienced Residential Service Plumber to service the greater Sacramento region. Responsibilities

• Run residential service and repair calls across the greater Sacramento region.
• Diagnose, repair and replace water heaters: tank, tankless and heat pump.
• Repair and install gas lines, disposals, faucets, toilets, fixtures and valves, and fix leaks.
• Quote and complete repipes and other replacement work.
• Present options and flat-rate prices to homeowners on a tablet; training provided.
• Keep your van stocked and your paperwork clean.

Residential Service Plumber

Type: Full-time, hourly plus commission

Pay: $35 to $48 per hour based on experience, plus commission on the work you sell

Schedule: Monday through Friday, days, plus a paid on-call rotation for true emergencies only

Service Plumber: real pay, a take-home van, Monday through Friday.

We are CABS Heating & Air Conditioning, a local, family-owned home services company in West Sacramento with more than 15 years in business and 1,000+ five-star reviews on Google & Yelp. We hold a C-36 plumbing license (CSLB Lic. 919746), and we are growing our plumbing service. We are adding an experienced residential service plumber to the team.

What you will do

• Run residential service and repair calls across the greater Sacramento region.
• Diagnose, repair and replace water heaters: tank, tankless and heat pump.
• Repair and install gas lines, garbage disposals, faucets, toilets, fixtures and valves, and fix leaks.
• Quote and complete repipes and other replacement work.
• Present options and flat-rate prices to homeowners on a tablet. We train you on our system.
• Keep your van stocked and your paperwork clean.
• Take your turn in the paid on-call rotation. Only true emergencies go out after hours; routine calls wait for the next business day.

We do residential service and replacement only. No sewer, no drain, no main lines and no jetting.

Pay and benefits

• Real pay. $35 to $48 per hour based on experience, plus commission on the work you sell.

What you need

To keep this fair and quick for everyone, we only consider applications that meet all of these:

• At least 5 years of residential service or repair plumbing experience, including water heater replacements and gas line work.
• You can work full-time, Monday through Friday, and take your turn in the paid on-call rotation.
• The $35 to $48 per hour range, based on experience, works for you.
• A valid driver's license, because you drive a company van. Any offer depends on a driving record check that our auto insurance accepts, done after a conditional offer.
• You are legally authorized to work in the United States.
• You answer every required application question.

California does not issue a state journeyman card, so you do not need one. The company holds the plumbing license. Certifications like UA or IAPMO are a plus, not a must.
