Job summary

Danika Plumbing in Everett, WA is seeking a skilled Residential Service Plumber to diagnose and repair residential plumbing during scheduled service visits. This customer-facing role focuses on thorough work, clear communication, and helping homeowners understand options without pressure.

You will report to the Operations Manager and collaborate with the office and field teams to keep calls running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Residential plumbing experience, ideally two or more years.
• Experience with troubleshooting, leak detection, drain cleaning, pipe repair, fixture installation, and water heaters.
• Working knowledge of residential plumbing systems and applicable plumbing codes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to ask thoughtful questions and explain technical issues in a way homeowners can understand.
• A professional, dependable approach with customers, teammates, and the work.
• Technical training in plumbing or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to scheduled residential service calls for plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Build rapport with the homeowner and set a clear agenda for the visit so they know what to expect.
• Listen carefully, ask useful questions, and understand the homeowner’s concerns before beginning the inspection.
• Inspect the home and plumbing system to identify the source of the issue and any related concerns.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, drains, piping, fixtures, water heaters, and other residential plumbing problems.
• Perform drain cleaning and sewer diagnostics, and explain your findings in plain language.
• Present clear repair options and recommendations based on what you found, giving the homeowner room to ask questions and decide.
• Complete approved work safely and in accordance with applicable plumbing codes.
• Protect the customer’s home and leave the work area clean.
• Take required job photos and accurately document findings, options discussed, customer decisions, and work performed.
• Keep the customer and office informed throughout the call, especially when the scope or schedule changes.
• Participate in ongoing training, call reviews, and role-play to strengthen your technical and customer communication skills.

Danika Plumbing is looking for a skilled Residential Service Plumber to join our growing team. This is a customer-facing role focused on diagnosing and completing residential plumbing repairs and maintenance through scheduled service appointments.

At Danika, a service call is about understanding the homeowner’s concern, doing a thorough job, and helping the customer make an informed decision. We train our plumbers to follow a clear call process: build rapport, set expectations, ask thoughtful questions, explore the home for related concerns, inspect and diagnose, then explain findings and options in a straightforward way. The goal is to help the homeowner understand what is happening and choose what works for them, without pressure or a scripted sales pitch.
