Job summary

Southern Home Services is seeking a licensed Service Electrician to diagnose, install, repair and maintain residential electrical systems, while ensuring safety and code compliance. You will perform basic wiring tasks as needed and communicate clearly with homeowners to explain problems and solutions.

You will collaborate with a team that values reliability, customer service, and safety, and you will adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential/light commercial electrical experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent customer service and the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair residential electrical systems.
• Install, repair and maintain wiring, outlets, switches, and breakers to ensure reliable operation.
• Explain electrical problems, options and recommendations to homeowners.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as required and perform basic wiring tasks.
• Follow safety standards and electrical codes on all jobs.
• Utilize tools and materials common to the electrical trade.
• Apply knowledge of codes to ensure compliance and safety.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
