Description

The Residential Service Electrician is a licensed field professional responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining residential solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging systems. This role provides field leadership to apprentices, adheres to approved scope and time authorizations, and ensures work is accurately documented and closed out promptly to support timely billing.

Responsibilities

• Respond to residential electrical service calls and complete safe, code-compliant repairs, coordinating with manufacturer tech support as needed.
• Support remote troubleshooting and provide clear technical findings to Service Coordinators and Technical Specialists.
• Lead roof work directly or through planning and real-time oversight to ensure safe access, fall protection, and proper roof protocols.
• Train and mentor apprentices and junior technicians by assigning tasks, verifying quality, and coaching safe, in-scope work habits.

• Maintain licensing, continuing education, and safety compliance; correct unsafe behaviors on site.
