Job summary

MLS Electric is hiring a Residential Service Electrician in Durham, NC to service homes across the Raleigh–Durham metro. Typical duties include diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading lighting, outlets, breakers, and EV charging equipment, with a 100A–400A panel focus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years residential service electrician experience with strong troubleshooting and panel work.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Valid NC driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work independently, plan jobs, and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential service calls: troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs for lighting, outlets, breakers, and controls.
• Install and upgrade electrical services and panels from 100A–400A.
• Install and commission EV chargers, whole‑home surge protection, battery backup systems, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair breakers, GFCIs, AFCIs, and service equipment.
• Prepare cost estimates and source materials.
• Maintain accurate job documentation, time records, and customer sign‑offs.
• Maintain and manage truck inventory; ensure tools and parts are stocked and organized.
