Job summary

Cogent Analytics seeks a Residential & Light Commercial Service Electrician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain electrical systems in homes and small businesses. You will work as an individual contributor, delivering safe, code-compliant service and clear explanations to customers.

From dispatch to closeout, you will troubleshoot, manage van inventory, uphold safety standards, document service records, and ensure customer satisfaction with minimal callbacks.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License preferred or equivalent residential/light commercial service experience.
• 3+ years of electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and service upgrades in residential and light commercial environments.
• In-depth knowledge of the NEC and residential wiring methods.
• Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex electrical circuits and equipment.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a clean, professional demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Execute residential and light commercial service calls, panel upgrades, device installs, rewiring, lighting controls, and troubleshooting.
• Diagnose complex electrical issues safely, identify root causes, and propose options to customers.
• Complete work to NEC codes, local ordinances, company standards, and customer expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and protect customer property during all service activities.
• Submit accurate, detailed work orders, labor hours, material lists, and job notes promptly via Jobber.
• Keep service van stocked, clean, organized, and routinely inventoried.
