Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential electrical service experience running calls independently.
• Proven ability to sell and upsell service work with trackable metrics.
• Journeyman or equivalent experience is a plus but not required; TN license may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run 3 to 4 residential service calls daily across Middle Tennessee from take-home truck.
• Diagnose and repair residential electrical issues, including panel problems.
• Install upgrades such as EV chargers and generators.
• Present repair options from the price book and close out jobs in FieldPulse.
• Participate in on-call rotations and attend weekly trainings.

Residential Service Electrician

Compensation: $60,000 - $120,000 / year

Description

Quality Electric Service is a Murfreesboro based electrical contractor growing its residential home service division across Middle Tennessee. We are adding a Residential Service Electrician to run residential service calls, diagnose and repair, and present options to homeowners, with no new construction or warranty work on your board. This is a commission forward seat with a guaranteed hourly floor, a take home truck, and an owner who wants motivated techs to help shape a growing service business.

Key Responsibilities

• Run 3 to 4 residential service calls a day across Middle Tennessee, first call at 8 AM from your take home truck
• Diagnose and repair residential electrical problems, from dead circuits to panel issues
• Install service sold upgrades including EV chargers and generators
• Build and present repair and upgrade options to homeowners using the company price book
• Quote, document, and close out every job in FieldPulse on a company iPad
• Rotate through on call about one week every three months, with calls filtered to true emergencies
• Attend the weekly Wednesday service training and periodic full day trainings

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• 2+ years of residential electrical service experience running calls on your own (new construction only or solar only backgrounds will not fit this seat)
• A track record of selling and converting service work, and you know your numbers: calls per day, close rate, average ticket, and monthly production
• Journeyman or equivalent experience is a plus but not required, you will work under the company Tennessee contractor license
• Your own hand tools, drills, and saws, larger job specific tools are provided
• Valid driver license with a clean, insurable driving record
• Must pass a background check and 9 panel drug screen (includes marijuana) between offer and start
• Live within about an hour of Nashville or Murfreesboro, or be open to relocating
