Job summary

Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal is seeking a roofing installer to perform application and repair tasks on various roof types. The role operates under general direction with significant independence and is reviewed for adherence to standards upon completion.

You will work on asphalt roofing, flashing, and related materials, maintaining safety and quality on each project. The candidate should be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at elevated heights while collaborating with foremen

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Able to work at elevated heights on roofs.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Able to work well with others in a team.

Responsibilities

Applies asphalt roofing, sets flashing and expansion joints, and cuts roofing paper to fit roof corners and pipes.
Uses asphalt and commercial compounds on overlapping joints; applies and fastens roofing materials.
Inspects and determines leaks on all types of roofs.
Lifts objects and works at elevation on a routine basis.
Assist in planning and setup of project safety requirements.
Ensure the proper use of tools and safety equipment at all times.
Communicate and cooperate with foremen, project managers, supervisors and coworkers.
