Job summary

Mount Rogers Community Services Board is seeking a Residential Services Registered Nurse to provide medical oversight and nursing services in residential settings, including medication administration, education, and clinical support for individuals with behavioral health needs.

The role requires collaboration with case managers and treatment teams, development of care plans, and ensuring compliance with nursing regulations and MRCSB policies.

Qualifications

• RN licensure with current state registration or compact licensure.
• BSN preferred; clinical experience in behavioral health is advantageous.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Knowledge of medications, side effects, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing interventions including medication education, skilled nursing, administration and monitoring of medications, and referral as needed.
• Educate providers/staff on medication administration and home management skills.
• Monitor medical conditions in residential settings to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develop relationships with primary care physicians and coordinate care with the treatment team.
• Oversee and train direct service providers in nurse-delegated procedures.
• Attend clinical staffing and supervisory meetings and maintain required training.
