Spirit Rock Meditation Center is seeking an experienced insight meditation practitioner for a full-time Retreat Support Associate (RSA) role. RSAs live on campus and provide direct support to retreatants during residential programs.

This one-year term involves shared shifts and round-the-clock availability during retreats. The position is part of Spirit Rock’s Residential Staff Dharma program, offering a living/working environment with weekly sangha participation and personal practice.

Formación

• Vipassana insight meditation retreat experience in Theravada tradition.
• Familiarity with physical, psychological, and emotional retreat states and needs.
• Commitment to Buddha's teachings and Five Precepts in daily life.
• On-call or crisis-response experience.
• Ability to stay calm, build rapport quickly, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Independent work style with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration.
• Adaptability to overnight hours and changing schedules.
• Discretion handling sensitive information.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct retreatant support and healthcare coordination.
• Assist with prescription pickup and medical accompaniment to urgent care or ER.
• Support on-call and overnight shifts.
• Coordinate RSA shift scheduling and training.
• Maintain RSA training materials and documentation.
• Attend meetings and liaise with teaching teams.
• Ensure continuous year-round coverage and post-incident debriefs.
• Prepare incident reports and debriefs after events.
