Job summary

Community Solutions in Wilmington, DE is seeking per diem staff for coverage at a secure facility. You will report 15 minutes early, conduct urinalysis, document incidents, monitor client movement, transport clients in company vehicles as needed, and help ensure keys and area security during shifts.

Requirements: high school diploma with four years in social services or criminal justice (education may substitute with relevant experience), pass FBOP background checks, complete 40 hours FBOP

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus four years’ experience in social service or criminal‑justice field (education may be substituted with relevant experience on a one‑year basis)
• Pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check
• Attend 40hrs of FBOP‑required training prior to working with FBOP clients
• Strong attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Report to work 15 minutes before the scheduled shift
• Conduct urinalysis
• Provide updates on client issues and incidents
• Verify all physical items being passed between shifts
• Ensure security of facility keys
• Conduct employment, job‑search, and home‑confined spot checks on each shift
• Conduct common‑area, room, and perimeter searches as assigned, and document results
• Conduct pat/pocket searches on all clients entering the facility, and document results
• Confiscate any contraband found and complete incident reports
• Complete house counts every hour from midnight to 8am and every two hours from 8am to 10pm, and document results
• Transport clients as needed in a company vehicle
• Conduct monthly emergency drills
• Secure urines from same‑sex clients and complete all required paperwork and electronic documentation
• Supervise all client visitation; sign all visitors and contractors in and out of the facility
• Complete intake on all new arrivals prior to the end of your shift and facilitate client orientation as assigned
• Facilitate all client movement in and out of the facility
• Monitor clients’ self‑administration of medication

Schedule

Per‑diem as needed. Required to complete all CSI trainings, work, and attend one shift per month.
