PALS OHIO, LLC. is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional for weekend overnight shifts (11pm–9am). You will assist adults with disabilities, implement service plans, and support daily living activities in home and community settings.

Required: at least 1 year in healthcare or disability support, Ohio driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to work with a team. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
• Ohio Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Criminal background verification with acceptable clearance.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience or working with individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Safely provide transportation as needed.

The In-Home Care Specialist provides continuous and active involvement, which includes an assertive and consistent implementation of an Individuals Service Plan, based on each person’s strengths and needs. The In-Home Care Specialist is accountable and responsible for the direct supervision and teaching- and “hands on” assisting with each person served, including but not limited to, the following areas: homemaker & personal care services, health & medical care, dietary & special menu orders, independent living skill development, vocational and community employment interests, adaptive equipment and assistance supplies/items, mobility and safety awareness, transportation, socialization & leisure skills. The Direct Support Staff is required to function as a team member with co-workers, the interdisciplinary team, and staff associates in an accountable and professional manner.
