Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in general maintenance.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building repairs.
• Experience troubleshooting and performing preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and performing repairs according to policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing, from inspections to punch lists and scheduling vendors.
• Follows procedures to access materials, track inventory, and notify supervision about re-ordering needs.
• Documents and files work orders timely and accurately for proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible.
