Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in social service related field.
• One year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to meet agency insurance requirements.
• Supervisory experience and experience in a residential setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview and hire staff who work directly under this position.
• Provide orientation, training, supervision, annual evaluation, and discipline of staff.
• Ensure completion of On-Job Training within 120 days as required by DHS.
• Ensure staff complete all DHS required training within 120 days for new hires and annually.
• Oversee, model, and supervise direct service staff.
• Assume direct service responsibilities when coverage cannot be found, including driving agency vehicle.
• Complete monthly reports on home environment and budgetary implications.
• Ensure incident reports are completed within 24 hours.
• Chair bi-monthly home meetings and document minutes.
• Complete weekly checks related to medications and submit to nurse.
• Visit house during off-shift times twice a month.
