Job summary

Chesapeake Plumbing & Heating, Inc. is hiring a Plumbing Mechanic for the residential new construction division. You will construct and install plumbing systems in new homes, work on rough-ins, and ensure proper fixture and pipe installation on site.

The role requires hands-on plumbing experience, the ability to work in varying weather, and the reliability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years of residential plumbing experience (required).
• New construction plumbing experience.
• Able to work in a variety of extreme weather conditions.
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to problem-solve and have strong decision skills.
• Resourceful team-player, with ability to also perform independently.

Responsibilities

• Install pipes and fixtures per regulation.
• Rough-in plumbing.
• Install support pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation.
• Assembles fittings and valves for installation.
• Modify length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for projects.
• Use hand tools safely as necessary.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
